The areas of Lapa and Santos have become really trendy in the last years. Many buildings have been purchased and renovated, giving room to nice restaurants, artistic shops, and concept cafés. This is a lovely area to explore, and also to enjoy a tasty meal after all the sightseeing. So, if you’re wondering where to have brunch in Santos or Lapa, here are my favourites 🙂
Healthy Brunch Spots in Santos or Lapa
Hello. Kristoff – a coffee shop with a Nordic touch. Great coffee, croissants, toasts, juices, pastries, and house-baked cakes.
Heim Cafe – beautifully designed cosy cafe with fresh and healthy food, delicious coffee and friendly staff. They also have another great cafe in Príncipe Real, called Seagull Method, which is worth checking too.
The Mill – a hip, trendy Australian-Portuguese cafe with a great ambience. They serve specialty coffee and all-day breakfasts and brunches. Normally it’s pretty packed, so there might be a line to enter, especially at the weekends.
Fauna & Flora – vegan-friendly place full of flowers and plants. The menu consists of breakfast and brunch food, made from organic products. A wide variety of smoothies and natural juices to choose from.
Chérie Paloma and Dear Breakfast cafes – these two spots belong to the same owners, and they both offer solid, delicious and healthy breakfast and brunch options.
Boutik – beautifully-decorated café and surf shack that offers delicious food, and exclusive items from all over the world. They focus on healthy food, made from natural ingredients and the menu consists of poké bowls, tataki, avocado toasts, homemade humus, smoothie bowls and fresh juices, bagels and sweet desserts.
Early Birds Lisbon – calm and cosy place with all day long breakfasts and brunches. Good coffee with regular or vegan milk. You can also create your egg-based breakfast or brunch with boiled, fried or Benedict eggs. They have a nice garden too.
